Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park
Your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport at 8:00 AM. Drive north through Rwanda's scenic countryside (approximately 3.5–4 hours).
After lunch, visit Iby'iwacu Cultural Village to experience traditional Rwandan culture, music, dance, and local customs. Continue to the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, where you'll learn about mountain gorilla conservation before checking into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking – Lake Kivu
After an early breakfast, transfer to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your unforgettable mountain gorilla trekking experience.
Following the trek, drive to Gisenyi (Lake Kivu). In the evening, relax in the natural hot springs, a perfect way to unwind after your trek. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Lake Kivu Water Activities – Bigogwe – Kigali
After breakfast, enjoy Lake Kivu with a boat ride, kayaking, and jet ski experience. Have lunch by the lakeside before driving back to Kigali.
If time permits, stop at Bigogwe for a cultural experience before continuing to Kigali, where your tour concludes with hotel or airport drop-off.
