After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali at around 8:00 AM and drive you east to Akagera National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy a boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you may see hippos, crocodiles and abundant birdlife. Continue with a game drive through the park before checking into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive through Akagera’s savannah, woodland and wetlands. Explore different parts of the park in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, lions, rhinos and other wildlife. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, leave Akagera and travel north toward Volcanoes National Park. Enjoy Rwanda’s beautiful countryside and rolling hills along the way. Upon arrival in the Volcanoes region, check into your lodge, relax and prepare for the following day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your mountain gorilla trekking experience. Trek through the misty forests of the Virunga Mountains in search of a habituated gorilla family. Spend an unforgettable time observing these incredible animals before returning to your lodge to rest.

Start the morning with golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes National Park. After the trek, return for lunch and some rest. Later, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to learn about mountain gorilla conservation, research and Dian Fossey’s legacy.

Enjoy a scenic day around the beautiful Twin Lakes of Ruhondo and Burera. Take part in a kayaking experience while enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding hills and Virunga volcanoes. Spend the night near the Twin Lakes.

After breakfast, begin your journey toward Lake Kivu, passing through the beautiful highlands of Bigogwe. Stop to experience the area’s landscapes and traditional cattle-keeping culture before continuing toward the lake. Check into your lodge first, then enjoy the relaxing Amashyuza experience around 8:00 PM before dinner and overnight.

Spend the day enjoying Lake Kivu with a boat ride and other water activities. Take in the beautiful lake scenery and surrounding hills before relaxing and spending another night by the lake.

After breakfast, travel south toward Nyungwe National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy an exciting canopy walk and zipline experience above the rainforest, offering spectacular views of the forest and mountains. Later, check into your lodge and relax.

Wake early for chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe National Park. Enter the ancient rainforest with experienced trackers and follow the sounds of chimpanzees through the forest. After the trek, return to your lodge and enjoy a peaceful afternoon.

After breakfast, begin your journey toward Kigali with a stop in Nyanza to visit the King’s Palace Museum and Ethnographic Museum. Discover Rwanda’s royal history and cultural heritage before continuing with an Azizi Life experience. Later, continue to Kigali and check into your hotel for the night.

After breakfast, enjoy a Kigali city tour with your driver-guide. Discover the capital’s vibrant atmosphere, local life and cultural highlights before being transferred to Kigali International Airport for your departure. This marks the end of your Rwanda adventure with Iriza Tours & Safaris.
