Details:

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Meet your bird guide and settle into your guesthouse. Evening briefing and checklist overview.

Day 2: Birding in Akagera National Park
Morning drive to Akagera. Afternoon birding in the savannah. Look for bee-eaters, raptors, and barbet species. Overnight in park lodge.

Day 3: Lake Ihema and game drive
Early birding drive then boat safari for hippos, African Fish Eagles, and kingfishers. Return to lodge for an evening checklist session.

Day 4: Rugezi Marsh and travel to Nyungwe
Morning birding at Rugezi Marsh, a key wetland. Spot Grey Crowned Cranes and papyrus specialists. Afternoon transfer to Nyungwe.

Day 5: Nyungwe canopy walk and forest trails
